Union County boys’ and girls’ cross country teams opened their season at home Tuesday vs. 4A schools Dorman, Northwestern and York.

Dorman and Northwestern’s boys and girls team were ranked in the state’s preseason top 10 polls.

The Yellow Jackets girls’ team finished third. Amanda Sinclair led the way for the Jackets with a time of 23:24 good enought for a fifth-place finish.

Jesse Luttner led the way for Union County’s boys’ team with a time of 20:03.
