Union County head coach Yoneko Washington had this to say about her team’s performance.

“We just were not focused and made too many basic skills errors. A bright spot was that Megan Russell had 9 digs and Taylor Cudd had 4 digs,” Washington said.

The Jackets host Chester Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 6:30 p.m.

JV action

The Jackets’ JV volleyball team also fell to Woodruff 25-15, 25-9.

“They seemed to be a little intimidated with it being their first match this year. There were some bright spots. Cheyenne Kerr, Makaylah Plemmons, Logan Crocker, Kris Clayton, and Destiny Knox all served well,” coach Washington added about the JV team’s performance.

The JV team returns to action at home Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m.
