The second-grade class at Union Christian Day School recently used Skype to participate in a question and answer session with Senior Airman David McCarley who is currently stationed in Iraq. In this photo, Hannah Hill talks with Sr. Airman McCarley in Iraq as the teacher of the second-grade class, Mrs. Margaret McCarley, looks on. The children were amazed that Sr. Airman McCarley could see them as they talked and that they could see him as he answered their questions on his stay in Iraq. During the conversation, students learned about the weather in Iraq, the food on the Base, the worship services available to our military and about the kinds of aircraft taking off and landing at the airbase. The visit with Sr. Airman McCarley was a fun learning experience for the children and an interesting way to connect with a brave American. Mrs. Margaret McCarley's class consists of Candace Brandon, Dixie Crocker, Hannah Hill, Rileigh Inglett, Chloie Martin, Maria Piefke, Nathan Robinson and Jessia Smith. Photo submitted
