A native of Chester County, she was the widow of John Henry Bowser Sr. and the daughter of the late Joe Worthy and Arrie Bell Tucker Worthy.
She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and Bethlehem Chapter #196 OES.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Bowser of Union and John H. Bowser Jr. of the home; four daughters, Mae Frances Bowser, Sallie B. Bowser, Johnnie Young and Earline Beaty all of Union; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with burial in St. Paul Society Cemetery. The Rev. J. Archie Calhoun will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the home and at the home of a daughter, Sallie B. Bowser, 109 Windbush Ln.
