BLACKSBURG, SC — Mr. Jack Wayne Wilkins, 66, of Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg after a brief illness.

Mr. Wilkins was born in Gaffney, January 22, 1944, a son of the late Jack Gibbs Wilkins and Bessie Juanita Baldwin Wilkins. He was a retired truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Wilkins was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Beverly W. Kurtz of Buffalo and Jennifer W. Rogers of Union; one brother, Gibbs Wilkins of Edisto Island; two sons and 8 grandchildren including Rebekah, Rachel, Isabella Rogers, Daniel and Nathan Kurtz.

Mr. Wilkins was predeceased by a daughter and a grandson, Jack Wilkins Rogers.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
