What do you get when you put an entire high school football team together with a strongman obstacle course?

The 2010 Iron Jacket Challenge, that’s what.

The entire Union County High School 2010 football team participated int he Iron Jacket contest on Thursday afternoon.

The challenge included several contests designed to determine just how strong each member of the 2010 Yellow Jacket team is. Those contests were:

“They did great, had fun and got in a great workout,” said football coach Dane Nelson. “Most of the players were in good enough shape to not get too gassed from the competition.”

Each player had to complete the obstacle course as fast as they could and not incur any penalties.

“They completed this as fast as they could to try and get a top five time for their position,” Nelson said.

The top five from each position were:

• Joseph Smith, 2:41; Keiston Smith, 2:52; Rickey Rice, 2:57; Adam Gregory, 2:59; Michael Johnson, 3:00.
