UNION, SC — Mrs. Mary Vaughn Gregory, 109 Brookside Drive, Union, SC, widow of Grady E. Gregory died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care.

Mrs. Gregory was born March 25, 1930, a daughter of the late William W. Vaughn and Grace Albright Vaughn. She was a graduate of Union High School and an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Gregory retired after 28 years of service at Union Federal Savings and Loan, which is currently Provident Community Bank.

Survivors are three sons, Dr. Don Gregory and wife Spiller of Spartanburg, David Gregory and wife Melissa of Union, and Dennis Gregory and wife Margaret of Chapin; three sisters, Shirley DeBruhl and husband Ray of Graham, NC, Kathryn Jolly of Union, and Billie Grace Whitehead of Union; one brother, Willian W. “Junior” Vaughn and wife Tomi of Union; six grandchildren, Kevin Gregory and wife Courtney of Murfreesboro, TN, Kyle Gregory and wife Courtney of Moosic, PA, Alison Gregory of Big Sky, MT, Jeremy Gregory of Valdosta, GA, Kacie Gregory of Greenwood, SC, and Taylor Gregory of Chapin, SC; two great grandchildren, Carter and Caroline Gregory of Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Gregory was predeceased by two brothers, Harley and Harry Vaughn and one sister, Dorothy Fant.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6:30-8:30 Monday evening, July 19, 2010 at SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Gregory, 498 Mt. Vernon Road, Union, SC 29379.
