UNION, SC — Mr. Jay Roy Keasler, 82, 610 Toney Rd., Union, SC, widower of Ada “Patt” Johnson Keasler died Monday, July 5, 2010 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mr. Keasler was born in Union County, SC February 27, 1928, a son of the late Eugene Keasler and Janie Keasler. He retired from United Merchants-Union Plant and was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are a daughter, Tanya LuLu Sanford; a son-in-law, Randall Sanford; two sons, Willard “Snowball” Hucks and Wayne Hucks, all of Union; four sisters; a brother, Bobby Keasler; five grandchildren, Chris Hucks, Michael Sanford, Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Mull, Willard “Trey” Hucks, III and Heidi Dietz; six great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Vickie Moss.

Mr. Keasler was predeceased by a son, Tommy Hucks.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Tommy Mann.

The family will be at the home, 610 Toney Rd., Union, where they will receive friends Wednesday evening.
