UNION, SC — Mrs. Geraldine Liner Roark, 78, formerly of Buffalo, widow of George William Roark, passed away, Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Roark was born in Union, December 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Clay and Dora Malone Liner. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are a son, William Steve Roark and wife Betty of Buffalo; a sister, Peggy Shetley and husband A.J. Jr. of Union; two grandchildren, Tara Roark Shetley and husband David and William Adam Roark and fiancee Ashley Mason; two great-grandchildren, Polly Sheltley and Mahlon Shetley; three step-grandchildren, Grant Shetley, Whitney Shetley, and Jarrod Shetley.

Mrs. Roark was predeceased by a son, Nicky Dewayne Roark and a number of sisters and brothers.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Bogansville United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Peterson. Visitation will be held at the graveside after the services.

Memorials may be made to Bogansville United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4052 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, SC, 29353.

The family is at the home of her son, Steve and Betty Roark, 488 Gist Bridge Rd., Buffalo.
