Mrs. Gregory was born in Jonesville, August 31, 1918, a daughter of the late Daniel and Vinnie Willard White. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from United Merchants having worked in the Union and Buffalo Plants. Mrs. Gregory was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church where she was active in various phases of the church and had received the 2010 Mother of the Year Award.
Surviving are a sister, Vera Gault and husband Carol of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kristy Meadows of Spartanburg; a grandson, Graylin H. Meadows and friend Renae Parker of Rock Hill; two great-grandchildren, Jon Meadows and Mary Karen Meadows.
Mrs. Gregory was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Alvin Meadows; two sisters, Ada Broome and Lena Meek; and three brothers, Jim, Robert and Coleman White.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Bailey. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church.
