UNION, SC — Mrs. Lerline Gault “Polly” Haney, 93, widow of Horace Haney, formerly of Jonesville, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Oakmont of Union.

Mrs. Haney was born in Union County, SC May 7, 1917, a daughter of the late George Hoyle Gault and Hattie Estell Gault Gault. She attended Kelly Pinckney School; was a homemaker and a member of Foster's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Merle G Harvey of Union; a stepson, Hoyt Haney and wife Sis of Jonesville; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Haney was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Christopher Green. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Haney's nephews will serve as active pallbearers.

Visitation will be held 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her niece, Barbara Kirby, 136 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy, Jonesville.
