UNION — The Sims Middle School baseball team defeated Jonesville in a final score of 14-3 on Wednesday.

Pitcher Tykevaes Kershaw led Sims to victory, recording a pair of strikeouts. Sims took an early lead in the first inning, leaving the score 6-2 going into the second inning. Sims put up another five runs in the fifth and three in the fourth.

“I don’t want to mention any standouts in this game; it was truly an all team win,” said Coach Tee Farr. “We had seven players with RBIs and seven stolen bases. We moved players around on defense, and they adjusted with poise. It was a great day for Sims baseball.”
