UNION COUNTY — This year the Union County Carnegie Library has income tax forms and instruction books for residents who need them but it doesn’t have as many as it has in the past.

The library has a limited supply of federal 1040, 1040 A, and 1040 EZ income tax forms and the instruction books that accompany them.

The library also as the Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms and Instructions, a binder which contains copies of the federal income tax forms and accompanying instruction books for those taxpayers needing not only the tax forms but more extensive instructions. Anyone needing a particular form and information can look through the binder and point out the one they need and the library will reproduce it for them at the cost of 10 cents a sheet.

The tax forms and instructions are also available on the IRS website (irs.gov) for printing.

While it has the federal income tax forms, the library does not have the state tax forms due to the state not sending out any of its tax forms.

Persons needing the state forms must instead call 1-800-768-3676. When they dial the number they will get a recording that will instruct the caller to provide their name, address, and the type of form needed and it will be mailed to them.
