Happenings around Whitmire include The Whitmire Economic Boards’ Charity Auction at The Whitmire Community Center March 15 at 10 a.m. and a Town Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday morning, March 22. Civic Groups, business owners and individuals are urged to participate.

The Whitmire Recreation department has a Summer Golf Program planned for all ages of youth and adults to begin in June 2014.

Last week, several WCS students participated in Job Shadow/Career Day. Students got to see first hand what types of careers require as far as education and training and a day to day work environment.

The unpredictable weather of snow and warm weather, our News and Data Fairies Gottrocks The Birthday Fairy and Garabund The Deadline Fairy have not gotten up from their sick beds, From wing de-icing to sunscreen, the two of them had a tough time staying in flight.
