Moore Second Runner Up for Miss SMC

SPARTANBURG — A Union County resident has been named Second Runner Up in the Miss Spartanburg Methodist College Pageant.


The annual Miss SMC Pageant was held Saturday in the Gibbs Auditorium of Ellis Hall on the Spartanburg Methodist College campus. Contestants competed in five categories: Preliminary interview, lifestyle and fitness, evening wear, and on-stage interview.


Among those competing was Miss Brittany Moore, a freshman from Union and the daughter of Robbie and Sharon Moore. Brittany, a Union County High School graduate, was named Second Runner Up for the title of Miss Spartanburg Methodist College.


Miss Logan Phillips, a sophomore from Blacksburg and daughter of Randy and Julie Phillips, was named Miss Spartanburg Methodist College. A graduate of Blacksburg High School, Logan will compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant in July.


Miss Allisha Fewell, a sophomore from Rock Hill, was named First Runner Up. A graduate of Rock Hill High School, Allisha is the daughter of Maurice and Angela Fewell.


“The Miss SMC Pageant is an exciting event for our students and campus,” said Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, SMC President. “This group of young women is an impressive group. We are pleased our students are able to demonstrate their community service efforts and talents in this venue.”
