Two arrested after house robbery, one suspect at large

LaGrange police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night.

According to police, at about 11:45 p.m., officers were patrolling the 100 block of Addie Street when they came upon an armed robbery in progress.

Police said that three black males allegedly robbed a victim in a residence at gunpoint. Officers observed three black males running from the residence. A shot was fired from one of the suspects, but it was believed that the gun discharged while one of the suspects was running, LaGrange Police Sgt. Marshall McCoy said.

The suspects fled in their vehicle and were intercepted by police a couple of hundred yards away at St. Peter’s Catholic Church located at Morgan Street and Lafayette Parkway, McCoy said. Officers searched the vehicle and found an AK-47 assault rifle, according to McCoy.

Two of the the suspects, Lakevious Martin, 19, of Woodbury, and Jarel Farley, 17, of Manchester, were arrested on charges off robbery of a residence with a gun and aggravated assault with a gun. The third suspect is still at large.
