CARLISLE — Residents of the Carlisle community will have two opportunities to share food and fellowship on Thanksgiving Day thanks to a local family and a local church.
Town of Carlisle Municipal Clerk Shannon McBride said that the Mobley Family will host their 11th Annual Thanksgiving Community Breakfast at the Carlisle Town Hall from 8-10 a.m. McBride said that the breakfast is free and open to the residents of the Carlisle community.
Residents of the Carlisle community are also invited to dine at Carlisle Christian Fellowship Church’s Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner which will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. McBride said that unlike the breakfast sponsored by the Mobley Family, the dinner will be served at the church which is located on King-Kennedy Highway across from the Carlisle Post Office.
Beyond allowing the Mobley Family to use the town hall and helping promote the breakfast and lunch, McBride said the Town of Carlisle is not involved in either event.
