Initial Sermon of Trustee Chauncey Sims

November 20, 2013

SPARTANBURG — “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of the sight of the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

An invitation is extended to each of you to join Pastor Mills McHam, First Lady and the Green Bethel Baptist Church Family located 3125 Old Pacolet Cowpens Road Spartanburg, S.C. on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at 3 p.m. for the Initial Sermon of Trustee Chauncey Sims. Trustee Chauncey joined Green Bethel at an early age. At the church he serves in the following: Vacation Bible School Instructor, Assistant Sunday School and Bible School teacher, All-Male Choir, and Trustee. He is furthering his education in religious studies.

He is the son of Pearl Sims and Rocky Sims the loving father of three, Sacoria Sims, Kimora Sims and Zarian Davis.

We pray that you will join on the 4th Sunday as Trustee Chauncey Sims stands and proclaims the Word of God. Because of all he has acquired he still continues to do the work of the Lord, and give God all the glory and praise — realizing that, “to whom much is given, much more is required!”
