UNION — A staffing firm looking to hire 200 people for an employer in Spartanburg County will hold a recruiting event in Union on Tuesday.
SCWorks Business Services Consultant Anthony Vitale announced Thursday that Staff Management/SMX Staffing will hold the recruiting event at the SCWorks Union office on Tuesday from 9 a.m.-noon. Vitale said the event is part of the company’s efforts to recruit 200 “warehouse associates” for the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Spartanburg. He said those hired will be able to earn up to $11.50 an hour.
The company is hiring for both full-time and part-time positions on all shifts.
While Staff Management/SMX Staffing will be conducting interviews Tuesday, Vitale said the company is requesting that those interested in the positions first apply online at apply.smjobs.com.
“Anyone who is interested should apply online first before attending the recruitment event,” Vitale said. “It will streamline the process.”
In order to be considered for the positions, applicants must:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Undergo drug testing/background check.
• Be able lift up to 49 pounds and stand for shift duration.
Applicants must bring with them two forms of identification and proof of education to the recruitment event.
