CHESTER —The Union County High School JV Volleyball Team finished the season winning two games against Chester.

Tuesday’s match saw the team narrowly beat Chester in the first game before going to win the second game more handily.

“We won the match with Chester,” Coach Sherry Jackson said. “The first game was very close, 26-24. The second game we won 25-11.

“The girls were excited about winning both games and two matches in a row,” she said. “That was a great way to finish the season.

Jackson said that the members of the team performed well during the match and that she’s looking forward to coaching them again next season.

“Macy Scarborough had an ace, dig, and two kills,” Jackson said. “Mary Scarborough had two aces and a tip. Caitlin Grant had three assists and a tip. Savannah England had a kill and a block. Brianna Fowler had four aces. Kasie Roark had five aces and two kills.

“Cheyenne Knox had some awesome passes to the setter,” she said. “Claire Pridemore had two aces. Skylen Morris and Tayler Stines also played well. I look forward to having all of these girls back in the volleyball program next year.”
