UCHS falls to Clinton in volleyball

UNION — The Union County High School JV volleyball team fell to Chapman Tuesday but not without putting up a fight according to Coach Sherry Jackson.

The score in Tuesday’s matches was 18-25 and 20-25 with Chapman winning both.

“We lost to Chapman but not without a fight,” Jackson said. “We had fallen behind but the girls worked really hard to come back but we just couldn’t hold on.

“Macy Scarborough had a kill and a tip,” she said. “Mary Scarborough had an ace. Caitlin Grant had two aces and an assist. Savannah England had a kill. Kasie Roark had and aces and a kill. Cheyenne Knox had an ace and an assist. Tayler Stines had an ace. Brianna Fowler, Claire Pridemore, and Skylen Morris also played well.

Union hosts Clinton today at 5:30 p.m.
