CARROLLOTON, GA — Linda Faye Hollingsworth Harris, 70, of Carrollton, was called home to glory on Sunday, Oct. 06, 2013.
She was born on April 12, 1943 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Mr. L. D. Hollingsworth and Mrs. Ethel Price Hollingsworth. She retired from Walmart where she worked for 26 years as a door greeter. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years and was president of her church’s W.M.U. for approximately 15 years. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Clifford Harris; and a brother, Larry Hollingsworth.
Survivors include son William Lawrence Harris of Carrollton, Ga.; sister Jeanette Cantrell of Spartanburg, SC.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. from Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Milford Ballenger and Rev. Ralph Caldwell officiating. She will be placed in state at 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Salem Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
