Scarecrows hit the square

Scarecrows are appearing downtown as part of the fourth annual Scarecrow Contest by the Downtown LaGrange Development Authority. People can select the entry they consider to be the best in categories of best historic character, most original and the best representation of a business or organization. This scarecrow by the city of LaGrange sits at the southeast corner of Lafayette Square.

A bank robber scarecrow for PNC Bank stands behind bars in front of the former Mansour’s building on West Lafayette Square. Scarecrows for the DLDA contest will remain until Nov. 2, and winners for the contest will be announced at the Oct. 26 Chili Cook Off and Downtown Trick or Treat event.
